Walk onto any small-contractor jobsite in the U.S. and ask to see their written hazard communication program. You'll get one of three answers: a binder no one has opened in years, a "we have one somewhere," or a long pause.

It's not because these owners don't care — they care a lot. It's because the existing safety software was built for the wrong customer. Procore, SafetyCulture, and the rest are excellent — for a general contractor with a dedicated EHS team and a $50,000 annual budget. For a 12-person electrical contractor, they're overkill, overpriced, and over-complicated.

What we're building

Safety Simple is OSHA compliance designed for the size of company that doesn't have a safety officer — but still has to deal with OSHA, GCs, and insurance carriers like one.

We picked construction specifically because it's the highest-risk industry in the U.S. (and the most cited by OSHA), and because the gap between what's required and what small crews actually have in place is the widest. We focus on 2–35 person companies because that's where the impact of one citation, one lost-time injury, or one EMR jump is the largest relative to the business.

Our principles

• Field-first. If a foreman can't use it from the cab of a truck, we didn't ship it.
• Tell, don't ask. Most safety tools ask you what to put on the form. We tell you, because we know what OSHA requires for your trade.
• Bilingual by default. Every program, talk, and form is in English and Spanish — not as an upgrade, as the baseline.
• One price, no upsells. $49/month for the whole company. No per-user, no enterprise tier, no annual contract.
• No fake urgency. No countdown timers, no dark patterns. We'd rather earn the trust slowly than buy it cheaply.

Who's behind this

Safety Simple is built by a small team with backgrounds in construction operations, EHS, and software. We named our AI safety expert Sully because we want a calm, experienced voice in the field — the kind of voice that's saved a lot of lives in this industry.
